"Khankhana" Ameer-ud-Daulah. He was one of the Nau Ratans (9 Jewels) of Akbar the Great. Also Governor of Gujrat. He was four years old at the time of his father's assisination, and Emperor Akbar took him under his charge. He was also tutor of Prince Saleem (Emperor Jahanjeer son of Emperor Akbar). He won many battles and was the Governor of different provinces and served both Akbar and Jahanjeer. He was a great writer of Arabic, Turkish, Persian and Hindi. His Hindi couplets are known under his name "Raheem".His tomb in Delhi, a massive square edifice rising from a platfform faced by arched cells, following the pattern of Humayun's Tomb. Around the double domes are the Chhatries at the corner. The interior is pleasently decorated with incised and painted plaster work. Its marble and red sand stone which faced it were later removed during the premiership of Asifud-Dullah to be used in Safdar Jung's Tomb in Delhi.
